The outlay can switch voltages to 50 volts at currents to 50 mA. Pin 7 is the certain outlay and forms the gatherer of the NPN outlay transistor. Pin 1 is the disastrous outlay that forms the emitter of the outlay transistor. Since the certain outlay is the gatherer of the outlay transistor, it is stream sinking. Normally in the off state, the gatherer of outlay transistor is pulled to Vcc .The outlay transistor saturates when its bottom gets more than 0.7 volts. In conventional Op Amps, the outlay is stream sourcing and gives stream when the outlay becomes high.
